What is Wonderhop?

Last verified: 2026-10-30

Wonderhop is a free daily browser game. Four rounds, seven questions, typed answers, no account, no ads on the official description. Sky wants the common answer, Abyss the rare one, Past the oldest, Future the newest. The how-to-play page says that if you like Wordle and daily games, the ritual is similar and the words are your own.

Names that are not this game

What it is not, inside the genre

It is not a spelling game, not a party game, and not a live survey you can download. The press sheet says the percentages start as estimates and then follow real answers. There is no multiplayer room on the Wonderhop pages. Krillion publishes a party mode. That contrast is on the comparison.

Dates, kept separate: the press sheet says launch on 5 Oct 2026. The domain record says registration on 11 Oct 2026. Show HN is 13 Oct 2026. The itch.io page was posted around 14 Oct 2026. I do not pick one of those as the only birthday.

Questions people ask

What is the game where you guess the most common answer?

In Wonderhop that round is called Sky. You type the answer you think the crowd will give. It is a solo daily, not a TV buzzer.

What is the game where you guess the rarest answer?

That round is Abyss, 40 seconds, scored against how common everyone else's answers were. Pointless is the show the official page names. The formats are not the same.

Is Wonderhop a word game?

No. You type a noun or a name. There is no letter grid and no blank to fill. The itch.io tags include word-game anyway. I follow the mode pages, not the tag.

Sources

Official game pages, the press sheet, the manifest, itch.io and developer comments count as one publisher. Numbers supported only by that publisher remain single-source claims. Player posts and third-party articles are independent evidence only for what they actually show. Source policy.
